At the mid 80'. It cost HK$900.00 each. I am not rich. I just paid all my income to buy "toys".

actually, in a sense things are cheaper these days...you can get a nice pair of "M" brand walkies for $200 or so... work really well

 

but the cost of housing is getting ridiculous......

The 'FRS' and 'GMRS' now is open. So they are very cheap. US$50.00 a pair.
