If my memory is right, in the last several episodes, all the weaspons can't make any effective impact to the enemy since all the attack methodlogy can be identify and predicted by enemy's computer system and nearly all the Zero tester flighters and weaspon destroyed. But they manage to build a special small flying object and the flying mode is new to the enemy, since the enemy can't perdict this new flying object and no way to attack, so the Zero tester find a way to shoot the weaspon and kill the bad guys.
But what after this , no more idea............................
