I share your view.  The song "When a child is born" was extremely poplar when I was young.  At that time, I did not know what the song was telling but the melody was so good that you could easily remember it.

其實我而家聽都唔係聽得好清楚...

可能佢地係有d德國口音啦...

N年前電台成日播, 真係好出名.

不過我都係最近N年後先第1次再聽過.

以前好想睇電影人狼戀, 可惜係兒童不宜, 有祼露鏡頭.

When a Child is Born (Soleado) was a popular single by Johnny Mathis.

Written by Fred Jay, from a melody by Ciro Dammico, alias Zacar, the song has been performed by artists as diverse as Boney M., Kenny Rogers, Bing Crosby, The Moody Blues, Cissy Houston, Charles Aznavour, Plácido Domingo, Sissel Kyrkjebø, Willie Nelson, Tarja Turunen, Demis Roussos and many others.

The most successful version is probably the Jack Gold produced version for Johnny Mathis which was his sole number one single in the UK, spending three weeks at the top of the chart in December 1976 and selling 850,000 copies.

The Original with alternate Text was sung by Michael Holm, a German Schlagerstar, "Tränen lügen nicht" (Tears Dont´t Lie) in 1974. It was the first Version of this Song, but not a Christmas Song.

在70年代尾的士高熱潮過後, Boney M曾經沉寂一段時間, 直至single - We kill the world 面世才重振雄風，可惜隊中各人不和不斷昇級，最後於１９８６年正式解散，之後隊中各人亦各以Boney M的名義組隊於世界各地巡迴演出，但總是人腳不齊，可謂名存實亡．下面選來數首８０年代的作品，有些風格頗舒情，與以前的Disco風格有點南轅北轍！

Bobby Farrell, front man of the 1970s disco group Boney M, has died at the age of 61, his agent has announced.

The singer was found dead in a hotel room in St Petersburg, Russia, where he had been performing, John Seine said.

Farrell, he continued, had complained of breathing problems before and after a show on Wednesday. The cause of his death has yet to be established.

Farrell, the only male member of the popular four-piece, had been due to fly to Rome for a TV show on Friday.

Born Alfonso Farrell in Aruba, the singer left his home on the Caribbean island at 15 to work as a sailor.

He then travelled to Norway and Germany to pursue a career as a DJ.

In 1974 he was chosen to front Boney M, which was put together by German singer and songwriter Frank Farian.
